100g Handspun 'Local LAHURO'
Heavy Sock-DK weight @260m/100g
The ‘Local LAHURO’ base is a blend of several sheep breeds including:
50% Wensleydale and Gotland wool from Trier, Germany and Arlon, Belgium
50% Alpaca, Merino and Silk sourced outside the Greater Region.
This handspun is very soft with a slight halo similar to brushed mohair. It is very durable and warm with a light sheen and great for mid-heavy weight sweater patterns, shawls and hats. This yarn would make beautiful and soft pillows and lap blankets.
This year there is a kit with pattern being offered, created by Laure Faber at woolINSPIRES. you can find the pattern here:
Handwash in tepid-was water with a little bit of baby shampoo or wool wash. Roll in a towel to remove excess water and dry flat.
